Delete your account and data
Last updated: October 5, 2026You can permanently delete your Wisebits account, and every piece of personal data associated with it, directly from the app. This includes the user ID, name, profile picture and email address we receive when you sign in with Facebook, Google or Apple. No email request is needed.1. Delete your account from the app
- Open Wisebits on your iPhone, iPad or Android device.
- Open the Settings tab and tap your account at the top.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm. If you signed in with Apple, the app may ask you to confirm with Apple once more so that we can revoke the Apple link as well.
Your account is blocked immediately and all of your sessions are signed out. The permanent clean-up runs in the background and is normally complete within a few minutes.
2. What is deleted
- Your authentication identity, including the Facebook, Google or Apple user ID, email address, display name and profile picture URL we received from the sign-in provider.
- Your profile, username, reading library sync data, engagement data such as follows and bookmarks, and anything you published or drafted in Studio, together with the associated media files.
- Your subscription records held by our billing processor.
Stories you downloaded for offline reading stay on your device until you uninstall the app; they are never stored on our servers.
3. If you signed in with Facebook
Removing Wisebits from your Facebook account (Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites) ends our access to your Facebook data and revokes your Wisebits sessions. It does not by itself delete your Wisebits account; use the in-app Delete Account step above to remove the account and all stored data.
4. Cannot access the app?
If you no longer have access to a device with Wisebits installed, contact us at admin@wisebits.app from the email address linked to your account. We will verify ownership and delete the account for you within 30 days, as required by the GDPR and similar laws.
5. Data we may keep
We keep only what the law requires, such as purchase records needed for tax and accounting purposes, and aggregated analytics that cannot be linked back to you. Everything else listed above is erased.
